For iPhone · iOS 27

Turn the notifications that matter into real alarms.

Like your driver arriving, or any message with "urgent" in it. They ring loud and full screen, through Silent mode and Focus. Everything else stays a quiet banner.

iOS 27 lets Shortcuts run when a notification arrives. Hotline adds the missing piece: rules that decide what matters, and an alarm that actually wakes you.

  1. Add one automation

In Shortcuts: "When I receive a notification from" the apps you care about, then the "Send to Hotline" action. You only set this up once.

  2. Make channels with rules

Ring for an app, a person, a keyword or a regular expression, or a call while it's still ringing. Preview your rules against recent notifications before you rely on them.

  3. Sleep through the rest

Matching notifications ring a real alarm, even on Silent and in Focus. Everything else stays a quiet banner.

For the alerts that can't wait

Anything that posts a notification can become an alarm.

Rules

Ring for the one that matters, not the rest

A delivery app sends an update for every step of your order. Only "your driver is arriving" is worth an alarm. A channel's rules pick it out, and the rest stay quiet.

  • Choose the app, then the words that matter, like "arriving" or "urgent"
  • Pick people by name, or match patterns with regular expressions
  • Ring for a call while the phone is still ringing, or only when someone calls 3 times in 5 minutes
  • Only at night, or only on weekdays
  • Preview your rules against recent notifications before you rely on them

Every channel, your way

Each channel has its own alarm behavior, so a doorbell and a production outage don't have to ring the same way.

Ring now or count down

Ring immediately, or start a countdown on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island so you can cancel it before it rings.

Ring until you answer

Snooze, or have the alarm ring again every few minutes until you stop it. Pick a sound, a color, and whether the notification's text appears.

Preview your rules

See which recent notifications a channel would have rung for, and why, before you rely on it. History shows everything Hotline received.

No alarm pile-ups

A cooldown ignores repeats from the same person, like the missed-call alert that follows a ringing call.

Rules for real life

Only at night, only on weekdays, or only when an alert repeats 3 times in 10 minutes. Start from templates, turn any notification into a channel, or switch a channel off without touching Shortcuts.

Private by design

No account, no server, no tracking. Hotline only sees notifications from the apps you pick, and everything stays on your iPhone.
